LowCross-Buffer is an innovative assay buffer for ELISA, EIA, RIA, protein arrays, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immuno-PCR. It is ready-to-use and can replace your standard sample or antibody dilution buffer. The formulation of LowCross-Buffer helps to reduce immunoassay interference and can therefore greatly improve the quality of detection. Nonspecific binding of the antibodies, negative effects of interfering substances, and low or medium affinity cross reactivities of the antibodies can be significantly decreased. Matrix effects, such as those from blood sera or plasma specimens, are minimized. Reduction of these negative effects improves the quality of the assay and the reliability of the results.

Microbial Freeze Drying Buffer (Filter Sterilized) is a proprietary solution of hydrolyzed plant protein (a substitute for bovine serum albumin) and carbohydrate lyoprotectant meant for the long-term preservation of microorganisms, including both bacteria and fungi. This formulation evolved from Reagent 18, a proven solution for microbial freeze drying described in the ATCC lyophilization manual. Superior to traditional additives like sucrose and skim milk, Microbial Freeze Drying Buffer has a 90% viability of bacteria and is free of all animal products and proteins. This buffer maintains microorganisms’ viability through freezing, water removal, and subsequent storage of freeze dried microbial samples. While sucrose often collapses and shows slow dissolution, OPS Diagnostics’ buffer is less likely to collapse and the dissolution of freeze dried cells is quite rapid.
Zymo Research Corporation Mix & Go E. coli Transformation Kit & Buffer Set, up to 20 ml
The methods eliminate the requirement of heat-shocking and related procedures. Instead, transformation can be performed by adding DNA to prepared Mix & Go cells and the mixture spread directly to a culture plate. Transformation efficiencies typically range from 108–109 transformants/µg of pUC19 DNA but can vary depending on the strain of E. coli. Most E. coli strains respond well to the Mix & Go preparation method and demonstrate fast transformation kinetics.The procedures are easy. Simply culture the E. coli strain of your choice in ZymoBroth™ medium (or SOB), wash and then resuspend the cells in the provided uniquely formulated buffers. The cells are now ready for transformation.
